Aldomania comes to a tragic, yet hilarious end. The internet keeps us from booze one more day.

In sad comic news, the Boondocks may take a longer hiatus than expected.

An Amy and Jordan reference in Mutts! I like comics because visual referencing like that is easily apparent.

Nausicaa is amazing. The library only has up to volume 5 though... Also, because the best use of 22 dollars is a statue of a alien chick in a bikini.

In other news, has anyone tried this manga rental service? Is it any good?

I'd buy this book although its contents are guarenteed to be less than a victory for women everywhere.

Oh dear! Another comic to buy! My dream is to do a graphic novel of black experience that is totally awesome. But the truth is that I can't draw or write. My copy of the shiot crock will be used as kindling by the great hobo army, which has returned from the stars(as told by that I'm a PC guy) to deliver mini comics for eternity.

I went to Barnes and Nobles today, and put my hand on Hot Gimmick 12(I didn't buy it, as I'm a bit cash poor). But one interesting thing I noticed was that it was shrink wrapped, and an adult content warning was on it. I wonder what that is all about(no spoilers folks). Also, Barnes and Nobles has a wide range of Graphic Novels on their display in my area- I hefted a large Castle Waiting volume(but at $30, I can't buy the coveted tome), giggled at Penny Arcade's collection(which has some of the blog posts under the comics themselves), and sorry to say, turned my nose up at books about Superman.

A perfect depiction of a real life dilemna in a nice little space.

I think the point of this whole little story is that the guy is putting on. Also, what seems to be the same guy running out of yo' mama jokes. I think the point of this is that his use of the ebonics and yo mama jokes is just as much of a put on as the white guy's use. I mean, he lives in richie rich ass place, you know?

It's a laugh explosion! My last post was the hundredth post, and also, I found five volumes of the Nausicaa manga at my local library.

Also, an awesome artist isn't going to be distributed by diamond. But diamond sucks anyway. Boo.
OMG! Viz Bargain Bin! I recommend Lum, Dance Til Tomorrow, Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga, and Battle Angel Alita. Now how they are big and cost 15 bucks? Kiddies that was how manga graphic novels were before the boom. Marvel at it now!

pd12879 Cardcaptor Sakura DVD Mega Bundle (DVD 1-18) (S) 539.82 79.99 <--is this for real? from rightstuf newsletter.

Twelve Kingdoms, Super Gals! and Wedding Peach are still on sale.

OMG! Hot Gimmick has a new volume out. I'm on a real anime kick so I haven't gotten any manga for a long time.

You should be reading Glyphs

I think I really prefer knowing about how manga is doing in the book market than how it is doing in the direct market. The direct market doesn't really seem to be connected to how comics diffuse to people who aren't comics fans for reasons already explored. Even amazon rankings make more sense than using direct market sales.

Scans of Indian Religious Comics Interesting art- it reminds me of early Dr Strange from the 60s. I still have my little booklet of old color Dr Strange comics which I obtained from my father.

Sexism AND racism in comics? Who would have thunk it? Then again, general stupidity abounds around Muslim dress, in that some folks think women in every single Muslim country are forced to wear burqas(not true), that wearing a headscarf is a burqa, and on and on.
