I've been reading more manga and writing about it less. I've been making up weird suppositions about fruits basket and railing against the evil of quarterly releases. also, really, fruits basket is not family friendly. I mean, I was reading volume 17 and was thinking mmm, incest, that's five bowls of popcorn...

I've also noticed that you can never find the next volume of what you want in a store. Is it because I am always behind? I've finally ordered the last two volumes of tramps like us, and will be finishing Ouran soon too

I read Nana volume 9, and I note that we get precious few glimspes of Nana Hachi from her perspective this book. She seems to be the one that is hurting the most, and covering it up by knitting baby socks. Prego, abandoned by the other Nana, alone in the house, feeling like a traitor.. My heart breaks.

I finally got Nana #9! But sadly, I can't read it til I've done all my work.*

*writing a paper in 30 minutes is a record, so I'll read it after class.

I couldn't see the movie Persepolis, so I bought Persepolis 2, which I like, because the first one, as amazing as it was, was drawn through the eyes of a child with none of the real adult sense that you can get someplace and just sputter out.

I have to admit that I went out and bought 2 volumes of Skip Beat and read them immediately. ;-; If only my copy of Nana 9 had come. It;'s on the shelves, but I wonder what amazon.com uses for regular postage, media mail?

The sad bit

is that I've been reading more manga but blogging about it less. Skip Beat volume 7 was at least a climax if not the climax, and I keep waiting for Nana 9 to come- wasn't it shipped last week? I loved the Tezuka influence in Swan, and I guess I should order the 2nd- I love sports manga, and ballet is no exception.
