Josei Thoughts

As I've been reading Hotaru No Hikari and sighing that only 5 volumes are translated out of the 15, I've been thinking that josei titles are more likely to become dramas than anime. Hotaru no Hikari, Kimi Wa Pet[Tramps Like Us], Happy Mania... all of those have become dramas. Nodame no Cantible was an anime though... I guess maybe a drama would be more popular with their demographic.

Too bad the demographic of manga in the US hasn't grown as much. As a mid twenties woman, I want less panty shots and more josei...

Reading IKKI

I'm glancing through the IKKI comics on the Viz website- favorites are I'll Give It My All Tomorrow and AfterSchool Charisma. Too bad they can't create something like this for Josei.. Hikaru no Hotaru in official English would be nice...
