People discuss the pressure to write porn in fanfiction. I'm taking prudery back. It's OK to have boundaries. I don't want to write guro, for example. If that becomes the new fandom trend, and not writing it makes me a prude, sign me up for the prudery olympics then. And really, sometimes your characters have to get out of bed and advance the plot, or you end up with magical vagina syndrome, in which you have to make up some reason why all this sex advances the plot.

Ok, this is actually a good post in fanficrants. I do like the sort of parody of 'maybe if you squinted sideways under a full moon, maybe a guy who is too shy to even talk to girls will rape a guy who is extremely important to him! Yea! That makes sense!' sort of thing.

With stories like this, I feel a lot better about fruits basket fanfiction.

Always assuming that all writers have well thought out plots and are always the best examples of fandom really obscures how fandom truly is. To truly discuss fandom and fanfiction intelligently, we need to acknowledge the sues, the high school AUs which are just putting character's names into a script that has nothing to do, the crossovers that make a mess out of the rules of both canons, and the bad porn, oh the bad porn, instead of sweeping those under the rug.

When looking for Persona 4 icons, I found this article about Kanji and the perception of homosexuality in games. Kanji's shadow boss is so over the top- muscular man holding two male symbols, and also, what's with those flowers? Maybe it seems more over the top with the american voice acting- 'hold me!' the shadow says while doing like 150 points of damage...
